Bay Of Islands Holiday in New Zealand

DAY 1: AUCKLAND / BAY OF ISLANDS
Cross the Auckland Harbour bridge and travel north via the Hibiscus Coast to the beautiful Bay of Islands. Arrive in Paihia and visit the Waitangi Treaty House where New Zealand’s most important document of state was signed on February 6th 1840. The rest of your day is at leisure.

DAY 2: BAY OF ISLANDS back to top
A day to enjoy the many leisure activities available —perhaps a day excursion along ninety mile beach to Cape Reinga, deep sea fishing or perhaps visit historic Russell or Kerikeri.

Another popular excursion is the famous ‘Cream Trip’ which departs from Paihia (own expense).

DAY 3: BAY OF ISLANDS / AUCKLAND
Today cruise to Cape Brett and the famous ‘Hole in the Rock'. On your return journey stop at Otehei Bay, where you will have a chance to walk, swim or just relax. Rotorua Holiday in New Zealand

DAY 1: AUCKLAND / WAITOMO / ROTORUA (L,D)
Today, travel south to Rotorua via the rich pastoral province of Waikato. Enjoy a barbecue lunch in the rural surrounds of the King Country then travel on to the fascinating Waitomo Caves. Here you will experience a guided tour of the famous Glow Worm Grotto featuring an underground boat ride. Continue on via Lake Karapiro to arrive in Rotorua. In the evening enjoy a unique Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert on a Marae (Village).

DAY 2: ROTORUA SIGHTSEEING back to top
Today you will experience the many varied sights that Rotorua has to offer. Visit the wildlife at Paradise Valley Springs,a performing sheep show at the Agrodome and the Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve. Learn about traditional Maori crafts at the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and then enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Perhaps take a tour to Mt Tarawera or the Buried Village or enjoy a swim at the Polynesian Spa (own expense).

DAY 3: ROTORUA / AUCKLAND
This morning is at leisure until you board the Geyserland Express train which will return you to Auckland through forests and farmlands. Arrive in downtown Auckland at approximately 5.45pm.
