INSURANCE (Motorhomes and Rental Cars)
Option One
CDW - Collision Damage Waiver of NZ$17.00 per day covering motorhomes and NZ$16.00 per day covering cars.

CDW Excess (deductible) - NZ$2,000.00 (motorhomes), NZ$1,200.00 (rental cars), is paid in addition to the CDW. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location on the agreed date with no damage incurred to the vehicle, third party or property.

Complete cover - NZ$30.00 per day (motorhomes), NZ$27.00 per day (rental cars), offers a complete cover to the vehicle and nullifies the CDW excess policy.

Bond - of NZ$250.00 is payable if option two is taken. This bond is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date with a full tank of petrol in clean condition with toilet empty.

IMPORTANT: Insurance cover does not apply if:

• Damage to vehicle is caused due to careless, willfull or reckless driving.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Driving on restricted roads
• Water submersion or salt water damage

All insurance cover is void if the terms of the rental contract are breached and the total damage cost will be the hirer's responsibility

Please note: The full liability must be left in the form of Cash, Travellers Cheques or major Credit Card on collection of the vehicle. The above prices include Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.).

BABY/BOOSTER SEAT back to top
In New Zealand children under one year old must use a child restraint which is appropriate for their size (Baby seat). For children one year of age or older, a seat belt may be used with a child restraint designed for a child of his/her weight and size (Booster seat). Please pre-book indicating the age and weight of the child.

DEPOT HOURS back to top
Auckland and Christchurch depots are open every day of the year from 0700—1800 hours.

Queenstown
November-April 0700-1800 hours,
May-October 0730-1800 hours.
This includes all public holidays and weekends.

Every Maui Rental Car and Maui Motorhome hirer receives a complimentary copy of the New Zealand Travellers Guide.

Produced by Maui Rentals, this guide contains local maps, sightseeing information and useful tips for travelling around New Zealand. It includes a manual on all Motorhome types, in both English and German.

In addition, all hirers receive a variety of New Zealand maps provided by various Maui approved Holiday Camping Parks.

COMPLIMENTARY TRANSFERS back to top
Maui provides a complimentary transfer to the Maui Rentals depot from the airport terminal on the day of vehicle pickup. A complimentary departure transfer is also provided from the depot to the airport.

AUCKLAND back to top
Maui Rentals provides a complimentary Airbus transfer every 20 minutes between Maui Rentals, the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Auckland Airport and the Domestic and International Terminals of Auckland’s Jean Batten Airport.

AUCKLAND AIRBUS back to top
Complimentary transfers available between Auckland inner city hotels and the Maui Rentals Depot. This Airbus service provides transfers for Motorhome and Rental Car clients. Clients must show their Maui voucher upon boarding the Airbus. The Airbus departs approximately every 20 minutes from all designated pick-up and drop-off points.

CHRISTCHURCH back to top
On arrival at the Christchurch airport, please proceed to the free phone information boards situated at the baggage collection point in the international terminal. Using the freephone, contact Maui Rentals and a courtesy bus will be dispatched to collect clients from the main airport arrival entrance. 10 minutes should be allowed for the shuttle to arrive.

A shuttle service is available between the Airport and the Motorpark. All pre-booked clients will be met.
