Day 1: Arrive Auckland
Collect your vehicle on arrival. If you arrive after midnight the vehicle will be available for collection after 7.00am.

Day 2: Auckland / Paihia, Bay of Islands (240kms / 4.15 hours) Before departing Auckland this morning you can visit Kelly Taritons Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World; see live penguins and a recreation of Scotts Hutt (you may choose to do this on Day 4). Drive from Auckland to the Bay of Islands, home to 144 Islands, and known as "New Zealand's winteriess north You can drive to Paihia via the Waipoua Kauri Forest.

Day 3: Bay of Islands
Explore the many beautiful bays and coves on a Fullers Cape Brett "Hole in the Rock" Cruise. In the afternoon you may choose to visit the quaint historic village of Russell, or the Waitangi Treaty House. Another option would be to take a Fullers full day trip to Cape Reinga, New Zealand's northern most point.

Day 4: Paihia / Auckland (240kms /4.15 hours)
Drive south to Auckland, via Whangarei and visit Claphams Clock Museum. Continue to Auckland where you can enjoy a cruise on Auckland Harbour, or take in a scenic helicopter flight or shopping.

Day 5: Auckland / Waitomo / Rotorua (350kms/7hrs - incl time at Waitomo) This morning travel south via Hamilton to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, where you can take a guided tour underground by boat to visit the Glow Worm Grotto. Continue your journey through to Rotorua, famous for its thermal activity. Either tonight or tomorrow evening experience a traditional Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert on a local Maori Marae (village).

Day 6: Rotorua
A free day to enjoy Rotorua. Visit Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, with its bubbling mud pools, geysers, and Maori Arts and Craft Institute. You can be entertained at sheep shows, visit Trout Springs, ride the Skyline Gondola, and cruise Lake Rotorua aboard the Lakeland Queen.

Day 7: Rotorua / Auckland (234kms / 3.35 hours)
Depart Rotorua and travel via Cambridge to arrive in Auckland. This afternoon there is time available for sightseeing and any last minute shopping.

Day 8: Depart Auckland
Drop off your car in plenty of time to report at the airport for your flight home.
