Day 1: Arrive in Christchurch
If arriving before 10 p.m. you can collect your vehicle on arrival. If arriving after 10 p.m. you can collect your vehicle after 7 a.m. the next morning. The rest of your available time is at leisure on this day.

Day 2: Christchurch / Greymouth (255kms / 3.2 hours)
Today travel across the Canterbury Plains, through the alpine village of Arthurs Pass, and through New Zealand's largest mountain range, the Southern Alps; emerge on the West Coast of the South Island, at Greymouth.

Day 3: Greymouth / Fox or Franz Josef Glacier (188kms / 3.1 hours)
This morning you may like to take a short drive north to visit the Punakaiki Pancake Rocks before heading south to the glacier region via the town of Hokitika. If time permits this afternoon, or tomorrow morning, we suggest a helicopter flight on to one of the glaciers.

Day 4: Glacier Region / Queenstown
(404kms / 7.45 hours) Today you travel through dense west coast bush and over the Haast Pass. Continue past Lakes Hawea and Wanaka and through the Kawarau Gorge before arriving at Queenstown, the nation's adventure capital.

Day 5: Queenstown
A day at leisure - The staff at "The Station" can organise any activities, from jet boating, white water rafting, bungy jumping to cruising Lake Wakatipu on board the TSS Earnslaw steamship. Or cake a trip on The Skyline Gondola to view the Kiwi Magic Film, at the summit of Bobs Peak. In the evening you may like to have dinner at the Skyline Restaurant.

Day 6: Queenstown/MilfordSound/TeAnau (412kms/9.5hrs-incl cruise)
Follow the shores of Lake Wakatipu, to the World Heritage Area of the Fiordiand National Park. Travel through the Homer Tunnel to emerge in the majestic Milford Sound. A must do for any trip to Milford Sound is a Red Boat Cruise for 1 & 314 hours on Milford Sound. After the cruise retrace your steps to Te Anau.

Day 7: Te Anau
A day to enjoy some of the unique activities around Te Anau - including the Glow Worm Caves, hiking trails and Lake Manapouri Underground Power Station.

Day 8: Te Anau / Dunedin (290kms / 4.15 hours)
Depart Te Anau and cross the Waimea Plains to the country town of Gore. Travel through Balclutha, then north past Milton until you reach the University town of Dunedin, home of New Zealand's only castle - Larnach Castle.

Day 9: Dunedin / Mt. Cook Region (329kms / 4.10 hours)
Travel northwards up the coast, until you reach Oamaru. From Oamaru travel inland to Omarama where, depending on your accommodation, you will continue past the glacier-fed Lake Pukaki until you reach the Mt Cook village. Whether you are staying at Omarama or Mt Cook village, you can take glacier flights from Glentanner Park Station, giving you the opportunity to view the sights that make the Mt Cook region World Famous.

Day 10: Mt. Cook Region / Christchurch (33lkms / 4.55 hours)
Your scenic route takes you past Lakes Pukaki and Tekapo and The Church of the Good Shepherd, through the scenic MacKenzie Country and onto the farmlands of South Canterbury, before arriving back in Christchurch.

Day ll: Christchurch
Spend the day exploring Christchurch. Options include a day trip out to the quaint French village of Akaroa, the Christchurch Gondola, punting on the Avon River, and trying your luck on your last night at the Casino.

Day 12: Depart Christchurch
Drop off your car in plenty of time to check in for your flight home.
