Insurance: Hertz rental cars

• Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance is included in rates subject to a Damage Excess, The hirer 'IS covered in respect of any liability they might have to Hertz, in respect of any damage to the Hertz hire vehicle and any consequential loss. The 'insurance also covers the hirer to the extent of NZ$350,000 in respect of any liability they might have for damage to property or injury to animals. rental cars
• A Damage Excess of NZ$1350.00* for groups B-G and NZ$1 687.50* for groups j and K, is to be paid at commencement of each Hertz hire, This excess will be refunded in full, subject to non-involvement 'in an accident and the payment of all petrol charges.
• The Damage Excess may be reduced to NZ$225.00* by the renter paying a Damage Excess Waiver of NZ$13.50* per day (groups B-G) or NZ$16.88* per day (groups J and K) to Hertz at the commencement of hire. This waiver is non-refundable. *Includes G.S.T  Car Hire

One Way Rentals:  Hertz

• One way rentals on car Group K out of Christchurch, Picton, Wellington and Auckland incur a one-way fee of NZ$150.00 (plus GST) with the exception of rentals Wellington to Auckland.
• All rentals from Auckland on Groups B, C, D, E, F and G will incur a one way fee of NZ$30.00 (plus GST). Both fees are payable direct to Hertz. New Zealand

Inter-island Touring
If you intend touring both islands, you must leave your car on one island and a car of a similar type will be provided on the opposite side. Your second or subsequent vehicle must be picked-up within 5 hours of finalising the previous hire. The first or initial hire must be a minimum of three consecutive days.

Driver Qualifications
All drivers must be 21 years of age or over with a valid national driver's licence held for at least one year there is no extra charge for additional drivers. Hertz car hire new zealand

Petrol
Petrol in New Zealand is approximately NZ$1.12 per litre. A petrol bond of NZ$100 will be collected at the commencement of your rental and refunded on finalisation less the charge of filling the fuel tank.
